Is It Normal To Get Irregular Periods After Undergone Salpingo Oophorectomy ?

Hi, I had undergone salpingo oophorectomy of my left ovary more than a month a go. I had my first period after surgery earlier than my regular cycle, that was May 24th, my ob gyn said it was ok. Now again I have my period 4 days early than i expect, is it still normal? I am on my second day now and I have heavy bleeding since the first day.

Hello,

Yes, getting periods 4 days early is normal. No problem with that and you are complaining of heavy bleeding, it has to treat if heavy bleeding continues for 3 rd day also visit your doctor and take treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Soumya, OBGYN
