Is It Normal To Have A Hick Up And A Black Space Appear In The Red Flow While Doing The Doppler?
I had a heart echo today. I explained that I have been feeling this weird thing that my heart races up and then it hick ups (stops) then back to normal. I am used to the blood pressure going up then dropping and the pulse rate doing that. But, the heart beat stops hick ups and then starts again. The person doing the Doppler said she could see it. My question is that the red line that kept going across. There would be a hick up and a black space would appear in the red flow. is that normal. and she measured the area which they have never done. why would they do that.
Hello, The hick ups you describe are called palpitations. Some palpitations are benign and others are dangerous. You would need a cardiologist to look at your ultrasound and EKG to determine the cause and tell you if it is serious or not Regards
