Is It Normal To Have A Swollen Testicle After The Removal Of Ruptured Appendix?

Hi,
My son had his ruptured appendix removed Sunday morning. Infection was severe and he was in the hospital for 5 days, coming home this evening (Thursday). He has, since coming home, noticed his right testicle has swollen slightly and is tender to the touch. Is this normal? He is 19 and very healthy. This is his first brush with an emergency, ever! The nurse at the after hours number was exactly zero help.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It is not at all all a normal occurrence,It appears to be a cellulitis, due to the infection of the sutures.
I advise you to consult your surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, ornidazole, serratio peptidase, diclofenac sodium.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to have good health and resistance.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
