Is It Normal To Have Brownish Discharge With Odor After A Mirena Insertion?

I got the Mirena inserted in January while on my cycle after having my daughter in November at first I was bleeding then it was spotting then it stopped now it is just constant brown discharge sometimes with bad odor, I know they said from first 3-6 months you could spot but is this normal the really dark brown discharge ? I m so disgusted

Yes, this is true that you may experience spotting during the first few months but foul smell needs investigation. Specifically infection need to be ruled out. You should plan a visit to your Gynecologist & report the issue. The doctor will examine you & may take a swab test to rule out infection. An appropriate treatment can then be given to you.
