Is It Normal To Have Edema And Bruising Of Leg After A Fall?

Hi! I fell from the stairs 2 weeks ago and i hit my inner leg hard. Till now it is still tender , edematous and some parts yellowish and some bruises still violet in color. Is this normal? I can bear weight and walk but the edema is just painful. Sometimes i felt like something is pricking my leg. Help!

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got hit your inner leg 2 weeks back by fall. You got bruises (hematoma) which is edematous and tender. It is normal,no need to worry much. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it.You may take analgesic (ibuprofen) for pain relief. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
