Is It Normal To Have Hot Cheeks, Chest And Arms With Nausea While Taking Tecfidera?
Hi, I am in my 4th week of taking tecfidera for ms - the side effects of flushing, hot cheeks, chest and arms and nausea seem to be getting worse each time. It happens about 3 hrs after taking the tablet, it wakes me up, and during the day I have to stop what I m doing and lie down for at least haf an hour. Is this normal?
Hi, Flushing is the most common side effect that the patient will have who are on tecfidera (dimethyl fumarate). Nausea is also a common side effect with this medication. Flushing and nausea may come down with time. If the side effects are severe and intolerable, do contact your neurologist and ask for alternatives to tecfidera. Hope the above information solves your query. Thank you for writing into healthcaremagic. Have a wonderful day.
