Is It Normal To Have Hyperthyroidism During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 35 years old and pregnant. This is my thirteenth week. I have hyperthyroide. TSH level is 6.42. is it necessary to take any medicine for this or it is usual thing during pregnancy. If medication required which medicine.. Please advice

Good day.
It is extremely important to keep your TSH below 2.5 during the first three months of pregnancy. This is important for the baby's brain development. You may need to start on Thyroxine very soon. Please meet your doctor as soon as possible.
