Is It Normal To Have One Spherical And One Cylindrical Lens For Both Eyes?

Hello Sir/madam Recently I have checked sight and found that I have cylinder for left eye and spherical for right eye. sight for both the eyes is -0.5. Is it normal to have one spherical and one cylinder lens. Previously I have both spherical -0.5. Please tell me whether spherical I powerful or cylinder?

If you have astigmatisms associated with refractive error, both cylinder and sphere may be required.
