Is It Normal To Have Sensitive Skin While Having Epstein Barr Infection?

hi, I was recently diagnosed with Epstein bar and am experiencing extremely sensitive skin. it gets bright red/pink when i scrub it and stings when I put on make-up or face lotion on. I am wondering if this is normal? I am a bit concerned. I am also experiencing very freezing feet and hands. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

I understand from your query that you are having a sensitive skin after having an infection by Ebstein barr virus.

This infection could be associated with a generalised rash which is sometimes itchy.

Your symptoms do not fit into this description and I do not think it is due to the infection.

You could be having rosacea which is characterized by flushing and redness on exposure to sunlight and on eating spicy and hot foods.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.
