Hello, Welcome to HCM, During the periods there will be associated pain in the abdomen because of the shedding of the endometrium. Pain may be referred to the anal region during the cycles but other causes for pain in this area should be ruled out like boils, sebaceous gland infection, infection of the hair follicle, pilonodal sinus and any hemorrhoids. The region are very prone for infection because of lot of secretions and the micro organisms are plenty in this region. Thank you.
