Is It Normal To Have Spotting After Periods?

Hello- I just ended my period early last week and am noticing that I am still spotting like the end of my period. Is this normal? My period has always been on time and ended on time. I just had a baby 5 months ago and am noticing a few changes. I had my tubes tied.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

Persistent spotting for a couple of days after cessation of the period is a common occurrence, especially after a delivery owing to the hormone imbalance. If the condition persists or recurs in every cycle, please visit a specialist for proper clinical evaluation. Please maintain proper genital hygiene.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
