Is It Ok To Go Off Ramipril Without Repercussions?

Hi. After having surgery for repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm
a doctor who I don't even know put me on 2.5 mg. ramipril. I had high blood pressure then but never had it before. I'm 63 and uninsured. Can I just take myself off of ramipril without repercussions?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and let me tell you that you had gone through the major surgery and doctor prescribed the Ramipril so it is not that the hypertension is the only indication this medicine has, but this could be given for other pathological changes too, in my opinion better to have a word with doctor, take care and have a nice day.
