Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 31 year old female. I have been wearing a heart monitor when I work-out lately and noticed that I easily get to 225-230 bpm. I get very lightheaded, my surroundings look fuzzy, my head is pounding, and I feel sick. I was diagnosed with SVT as a child. (I haven't had an episode in a long time.) Do I still need to stay within the maximum heart rate guidelines while I work out, or will mine be higher because of the tachycardia? I'm wondering if I need to be rechecked?
High heart rate may lead to the decreased blood supply to the brain lead to giddiness. You have to avoid high-risk activities, always keep one person with you. You have to consult a cardiologist for your problem.
He will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
