Is It Possible For Articular Cartilage To Grow Back In MTP?

Dear Doctor, Is it possible for articular cartiladge to grow back in MTP joint as have Hallux Limitus at the moment, I am worried about getting surgery, as looks like will have to get fusion done. Was wondering if it is possible for our body to self heal if take magnesium, vitamin D and Glucosamine / Chronodroition. Many thanks Nanak

Doubtful it is going to grow back. There are some semi-experimental methods with stem cells that are almost as expensive as joint replacement!
