Is It Possible That Duphaston Might Affect The Accuracy Of Pregnancy Test?
Hello, I am on Duphaston pills to help me have my period because it s late (I have unstable cycle). I am planning to have a home pregnancy test tomorrow because I worry that I might be pregnant. Is it possible that the fact that I am on Duphaston might affect the accuracy of the test?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, In pregnancy test Human chorionic gonadotrophin is detected in urine ( after 8-10 days over due periods) & inblood pregnancy test( around expected day of period).
It is not concerned with other hormones( Progesteron in your case). So Duphaston will not have any effect on pregnancy test result. Thanks.
