Is It Possible That An Obstruction In Oesophagus Is Preventing Me From Belching?

hello, i have been feeling sick lately and have done several routine test which showed nothing. as i was about to start a new job that required a fitness certificate, i was asked to do an x-ray and the report wrote that i have unfolded aorta.today i feel as if i am having a slight obstruction in my oesophagus that prevents me from belching

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
X-ray showing unfolded aorta is a congenital thing and can not cause symptoms of esophageal obstruction so late.
The occurrence or feeling of unable to belch may not be related to any obstruction in the esophagus for a simple reason that such an obstruction will be sufficient for the obstruction to swallow and hence can not be correlated.
Unable to belch is not a big issue or not a symptom at all as belching is not a normal thing to occur unless there is aerophagia or excessive gas production with small intestinal obstruction.
Yet, if there are any other symptoms, you can get an upper GI Endoscopy and barium swallow and follow-through to ascertain that there is no such or any other problems.
Till then you can certainly take a PPI like Omeprazole and an antacid every three hours to get a relief if there is esophagitis and/or gastritis.
