Is It Possible That It Is Still In The Digestive Tract?

My 16 year old son just told me that when he was about 5 he swallowed a quarter and never told me. He said he never saw it pass and has no ill effects. He says he won't go to the doctor even if I try because he's fine. Is it possible that it is still in his digestive tract? What are any consequences to this?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if something had been swallowed some 16 years ago then it may not be there up till now still just to rule out the possibility the only option you have is to get done the x ray but for sure it is not possible at all hope this information helps.
