Is It Possible To Function Normally With A Broken Shoulder For A Long Period?

My 75 year mother just told us an x-ray showed her shoulder was broken. She said the doctor said she has probably been walking around with the fracture for a while. After looking at the symptoms and causes it appears to me something traumatic would have had to happen for her shoulder. My question is, is it possible to have a broken shoulder for several months and continue to function normally?

Hello,

It might be an undisplaced fracture or a thin hairline fracture.

You can get an MRI scan for a better clinical picture.

As she is asymptomatic, We have to rule out can go for conservative management and surgical correction may not be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
