Is It Possible To Gain Weight As A Result Of Typhoid?

Thank you Dr! I ve been diagnosed with typhoid:( started antibiotics. Been having fever every day for a month now but unfortunately didn t check before. My q is: is it possible to gain weight as a result? i seem to have whereas what i d heard was that on the contrary you loose weight???

Let me explain you few facts about weight gain and typhoid fever .
Typhoid fever is a water born ( infected other food items may also be responsible ) caused by Salmonell bacteria ( four type O H A B ) .
This is an intestinal infection disease.
Treated with the help of antibiotics as chloramphenicol , ciprofloaxin or mixicloxacilin etc.
While weight gain depends upon the calories consumption , normally a health person require 1500-2500 calories according to his physical work.
More work , more calories , less work more calories , result weight gain.
Fat is rich source of calories , protein have less calories , carbohydrate less then protein .
Typhoid fever or not , weight gain depend upon calories consumption.
