Is It Right To Change To Oxetol From Eptoin Since It Was Causing Excessive Heat, Sleepiness?
my mom is 41 year old. she was given eptoin 100mg tablets and she used it for a year but she was not comfortable in using it.she was using it 3 times a day. she was too sleepy..had excess of heat..while using it.so w went to doctor again .and he told eptoin is not good for ladies and changed it to tablet oxetol 300 mg. he told to take eptoin in a reducing order for a month and stop it...and then take oxetol 300 in increasing order. is it safe and good for her to use oxetol after using eptoin now. she had pids only once so they gave her eptoin a year back..then she is good now
Hello.Replacing Phenytoin by Oxcarbazepine is right. The recommended regimen, decreasing slowly Phenytoin and then start taking Oxcarbazepine too is right. Oxarcabazepina is a safer drug that phenytoin.I wish you good health. (If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
