Hello,
I was prescribed prednisone to help deal with some cold symptoms. Nothing serious or outside of the norm, but I wish to discontinue taking the medication. I only took 1 dose which was 30mg. Is it safe to discontinue the prednisone without tapering off?

If you took just 1-2 doses of 30mg Prednisone then there is no need to taper the doses before stopping. Only if you have taken the medicines for more than a week you need to taper the doses.
Just a small short course of steroid must have done you super good and you can easily stop it now. Dont taper.
