Is It Safe To Exercise While Having A Prolapsed Bladder?

I have a prolapsed bladder and grapefruit sized fibroid. Will be having hysterectomy in 2 weeks. Can I exercise now or will the bladder keep prolapsing more if I do? I'm 53, very active (normally) am a little overweight at 129 lbs. (for me -- and my tummy looks huge) and 5'5".

Hi welcome to HCm
I have gone thru your query regarding Bladder prolapse & fibroid .
I can understand your concern .
You need to know that these disorders need not stand in the path to a full life . Only thing you have to do is to modify your life style and food habits to strengthen your immune system . Doing exercise is always a right option to gain good health .

A Bladder prolapse is a surprisingly common condition that occurs when the pelvic floor muscles become weak or damaged, usually because of childbirth (and especially after a forceps delivery), or as a result of ageing, obesity, strain from heavy lifting or coughing, or fibroids.
Lifestyle changes can prevent the condition from getting worse, and may include:
·     weight loss
·     management of constipation
·     correction of position when sitting on the toilet.
Treatment of chronic cough and pelvic floor exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles are also important. Yogic postures -
like Butterfly , Dhanurasan , Bhujangsan , Shalabhasan ,Vajjarasan Gomukhasan , Surynamskaar are some of the postures which are of great help to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles , and over all health .

I would like to suggest you to modify your life style .Take balanced diet , including all essential nutrients and antioxidants like lemon juice ,ginger , garlic , Aloe vera , Turmeric powder + almond oil with cup of hot milk ,at bed tme , Ashokarisht all help clear toxins and increase immunity and give resistance from diseases .

In some cases, a ring pessary may be used to support the bladder. This can be used for women of all ages, and is a good option for women who are either unfit for surgery or who wish to delay or avoid surgery. A ring pessary is inserted high into the vagina to support the bladder and can be fitted in the doctor’s rooms. Regular follow up with a doctor is necessary in long-term use.
Hope this helps solve your query . Take care All the best .
Dont hesitate to come back if have further query .
