Is It Safe To Fly When There Is Elevated BP Level?
my mom, who is 79 has a blood pressure reading from a home machine of: first reading 147/68, 2nd reading 143/66 and 3rd reading 139/46, and just now 125/66. She is due to take a flight at 10am to Puerto Rico. She does take one pill a day for blood pressure. Her blood pressure is "emotionally" driven and she does not like, rather hates to fly, is it safe for her to fly today?
Hi, The last Blood pressure reading appears to be normal. If she has taken her medications, if she desires she can surely fly. Emotionally driven blood pressure, comes into control, once the person comes out of the environment. It might require counselling therapy. If she is willing get counselled, you can take her to your doctor, who will recommend a good counselor. Any further queries, happy to help again.
