Is It Safe To Give Mefkind-p For My Toddler Suffering From Cough And Fever?

I have 14Months & 4 Days old daughter ,she is having slight cough and fever from yesterday evening,
Doctor advised to give MEFKIND-P each 4hrs . After medicine effect is over her fever is coming back again.Cough is reduced. Is that safe to use MEFKIND-P at this age.

Thanks for the question. Mefkindp is safe in children. But i think you should start with plain paracetamol which can be given every 4 or 6 hourly. If fever fails to respond after 2 hours of paracetamol then give mefkind containing plain mefenamic acid. Also if child has cough and cold do considet starting antibiotic like amoxycillin.
