Is It Safe To Give Asthalin Syrup Frequently To A 2 Year Old?

Hi Dr.,
My son is nearly 2 yr old now. His pediatrician advises us to give him asthalin syrup whenever he gets cough. This has been the case for the past 6 months or a lil more. My son gets down with cold and cough very often as well. How safe is to use the asthalin syrup this frequently? Also the dosage is 3ml thrice a day. Please advise.

Welcome to the HCM,
Salbutamol is quite if used in reasonable doses.
Excess dose may cause some irritability,tremors and palpitations. otherwise drug is quite effective and safe in children.Dose depends upon the weight of the child
