Is It Safe To Give Carmicide Daily For Infants Suffering From Hypoglycemia?
hello, my girl baby was born on 7th nov. She was in hospital for almost 1 week cos , she was under wt n was sufferin thru hypoglacimia. she is now ok n now almost 3 + kgs. but esp in d night from 11 to 3 she cries a lot. I do not understand whether its cos of some colic pain or gases....what should i do? she sleeps during day quite well. is carmicide safe if i give daily?

This is likely to be evening colic.
Carimicide can be given on SOS basis but not regularly.
You may also try medications like colicaid 6 drops on SOS basis.
Burping properly after each feeds is a must. Along with the routine massage, specific tummy strokes may be done regularly. You may get the details of the strokes from baby care books.
During a colic episode, try to put her in the burping position as it will be soothing for the baby. You may wrap a warm towel in her tummy.
As a last resort, you may take her for a car ride.
If she is too much colicky, try to eliminate cow's milk and cabbage family vegetables from your diet.
