Is It Safe To Give Macalvit Syrup?

My baby is 5 month 13 days. her weight is 5.5. she doest not diegest formula milk and i am not able to produce much breast milk... therefore i have to give him normal toned milk. as she is under weight please suggest. my dr has suggested to give Macalvit syrup. Pls advice is this right?
