Is It Safe To Give Painless Vaccine For The Baby?
Hello Doctor, Reg Vaccination injection to my 18 months baby. He has to be injected DTP vaccination in the next week. When i consult the doctor, they said DTP vaccination can be injected in two ways. One is painless and another painful..
If painful injection given, he will have swelling and fever for 3 days. To avoid that doctor suggest to go with painless injection. I heard somebody saying painless injection should not be given. It is good only if he gets the fever.
Kindly advice in which way vaccination should be given to baby? Is it painless advisable?

Dear user, ur baby is 18 months old now.DTaP vaccines are having comparable efficacy with DTwP vaccine.I suggest u to go for the painless DTP vaccine.Efficacy of painless varies from 84-89% where as the other DTwP is 37-92%.Reactogenecity is more with DTwP.So better opt for DTaP vaccine for ur baby.
