Is It Safe To Go To Gym After Mirena Coil Replacement?

I had the mirena coil removed and a new one fitted 2 weeks ago as the first one was expelled - is it ok to start back at the gym or will it cause the coil to be expelled again. I m 6ft and the coil is used to prevent a recurrence of complex uterine hyperplasia.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I have read your query to understand your problem.
Minera is a depo hormonaight have pushed it out.expulsion of l preparation implanted in arm between two main muscles 9 biceps & triceps)- under the skin.strong contraction of the muscles with arm exercises are likely to expel it .
* I would advice you to join gym- BUT avoid use of arms in exsercises.you can do legs/abs/back work outs ,walking/jogging/aroebics avoiding hand involvement.
* after a month of implantation, when enough fibrosis has guarded Minera,. you can go for hand work outs with mild stress to hand.( only after doctor's consultation)
Thanks.
