Is It Safe To Have Anal Sex Safe After A Hemorrhoidectomy?

Hello, a few months ago I had a hemorrhoidectomy, and a thrombosed hemorrhoid was cut open and several clots were removed. I am sexually active and my male partner and I were wondering if it is safe for us to have anal sex after I ve had this surgery, without causing damage to the previous surgery, or cause any tearing because I ve had the surgery?

Hello thanks for using healthcaremagic.
Considering hemorrhoid surgery, if I were your treating doctor I will not allow you to go for anal sex at least for 3 months. After that I would like to examine your anal mucosa and surgical site as well as want to know about your toilet regularity.
If you are constipated and chance of recurrent hemorrhoids are there, you must not go for anal sex ever.
However if not such symptoms and your surgical site healed well I can allow you to go for anal sex with limited freaquency if you cant resist your desire.
I hope I have answered your query.
Thanks & Regards.
