Is It Safe To Quit Backlof And Paxidep All Of A Sudden?
Hi I was put on backlof 20 in the morning and paxidep 37.5 after I quit alcohol I was in India at that moment. Now I am in canada and spoke to my doc in India and he says quit taking the medicine after 3 months .my question is is it safe to quit all of a sudden I am a bit worried as I have read bad consequences abt quitting all of a sudden. Please help
Your point is very valid and authentic. The drugs should not be stopped suddenly especially the Paxidep. They can cause severe rebound symptoms. So you should reduce them gradually over few weeks to stop it. Even sometimes you may need to continue it for long times but if stopping, it should be gradually tapered.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
