Is It Safe To Remove The Feeding Tube From Parkinson Patient?

It is 4 am. My husband 86 yo Parkinson s with dementia has PEG. Body rejected tube feedings and now is constantly trying to pull out the feeding tube. I don t want to restrain him at this end stage. Can I remove it at home or possibly cut it close to the skin and cover?
