Is It Safe To Start Cerelac In A Toddler?
Hi,
My 5 and half month baby was only breast fed when I started with pureed apple and mashed rice and daal for him about 2 weeks ago. And every since that day he passes stools only after 3-4 days. The frist stool he passed after giving him pureed apple and daal and rice he passed hard stool and ever since he passes semi hard stools......I want to now start giving him cerelac as my milk does not suffice. Is it safe to start cerelac? or will it aggrevate his bowel movement?

Hi, welcome to HCM.
Ceralac is not a milk substitute, it's used as a weaning food.
If you want to substitute breast milk then you should start lactogen 2.
You should also continue other food that you are giving, it will be more helpful to the child.
