Is It Safe To Start Solid Food For 4 Month Old Child?

Dear doctor.. my baby girl is 3 n half months old,,when she completes her 4th month accoring to our ritual the baby must be taken to temple to give traditional meal (very small amount)which contains rice, veges, fruits etc.. So all my elders are suggesting to start solids now.She is on exclusive breast feeding now, so is it safe to start solids even without giving formula milk?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Exclusive breast feeding is recommended for all babies upto 6 months age.
You can start milk cereal mixtures first, and solids a bit latter.
Some milk either formula or breast milk is recommended upto at least one year of age.
