Is It Safe To Take Demerol For Pain Due To Radius Fracture?
I fell and.broke my radius exactly in half, January 13. It fas been casted. Exrays indicate it is set well. However, the pain is not relieved with positioning or elevation. I have been taking Lortab for several years, but this med is not really helping my pain problem. Would I be out of line to request Demerol? Thank you very much, Pearl.Mays. YYYY@YYYY

Demerol(meperidine) it is a narcotic analgesic and it is used to releive moderate to severe pain. But at the same time it has many side effects so it cannot be continued for long time.
If after cast you have pain get check x ray done and you can take tramadol for severe pain.

It's tough to bear with a broken radius
but if it's casted well and United then y do u require a painkiller
Anyways demerol is an opioid like morphine
it can be taken for pain
but in my opinion if all cast is fine and bone United there should be no need for any analgesic
if u need u can contact again
