Is It Safe To Take Diflucan For Yeast Infection?

I was diagnosed with yeast infection and put on Diflucan. Took 2 pills and felt great. Few days later the itchiness is back just slightly and it just doesn t feel right. Also . . . . seem to have a little pressure with urinating but not bad. No UTI. Could I still have a yeast infection

Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

Yes, it is possible that you are still having an yeast infection.

You could repeat the dosage of Fluconazole. You can also use intravaginal pessaries of clotrimazole once a day for 5 days.

If the yeast infection recurs again, do get your blood sugars checked. Also treat your partner with the same tablet.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.
