Is It Safe To Take Duramine Along With Zoloft?

I went to see a new GP as I have moved re my weight. She is a relatively newly graduated GP and wasn t sure about the medications. She prescribed me Duramine. HOWEVER I did tell her that I was on Zoloft and when I read the leaflet it said not to take Duramine with any sertaline medication. Can you please help?

You are correct. Duromine cannot be used with zoloft or the other SSRI.

Both of these medications can increase the level of a chemical called serotonin and serious interactions are possible if used together.

It would be best for you to speak to your doctor about this concern.
