Is It Safe To Take Norcolut Pill While Trying To Conceive?

Hi Doctor. Am caroline. I have been having issues with my periods since they have been irregular. I have attended several hospitals and given the Norcolut pill. Now, I have understood that Norcolut is a mini-pill when it comes to birth control yet i want to conceive. Is it okay if I continue taking the same dosage yet I want to conceive but then it has been difficult due to the irregular menses.

Hi,

First you have to make your periods normal and regular after that only ovulation takes place. Once the periods become regular, you can start on drugs to induce ovulation or war for spontaneous ovulation. Nothing much to worry and your treatment is on the right track.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
