Is It Safe To Take Pantocid,Pregator And Thyrofit For Thyroid?

Hello Doc,My Thyroid profile shows : T3-135.34/T4-8.2/TSH-12.94
My doctor prescribed me Pantocid40mg,Pregator and Thyrofit50mg.I just wanted to know what are these medicines for and am I taking the correct medication.Also I want to know that do I have to continue these medicines life long.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your report suggest hypothyroidism and your doctor prescribed pentocid, pregator and thyrofit.

Pentocid is reduce the acid secretion in stomach. It is used in gastritis, acidity, heart burn or along with other drugs to reduce the acidity.

Pregator contain multivitamins. It is used in anemia and other condition.
Thyrofit is ued in hypothyroidism as thyroid supplements.

Pentocid and pregator should be prescribed for short duration. You have to take thyrofit for long time. Dosage can be adjusted according to your T3, T4 and TSH level.
