Hello,
You are underweighting for your age/height. Low body fat can cause low
estrogen and thus irregular cycles, which is probably why your ovaries aren’t working well.
Progyluton can help regulate cycles, but low BMI, nutritional status should be addressed first. Improve your weight, take healthy home-made food and nutritious balanced food. Otherwise, your hormones may stay low when you stop the medicine. Recheck kidney function if any swelling or BP rise occurs.
If kidney function is abnormal, discuss with your
nephrologist before taking any medicine. Get clinically evaluated with a gynecologist or GP to detect chronic illness, or
primary ovarian insufficiency. Get
ultrasound every 6–12 months to monitor the dilated calyces or as advised by your local GP. Get connected with a dietician for healthy eating and to gain weight.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
