Is It Safe To Take Rigevidon Instead Of Microgynon?

I have just open my new perscription of my contraceptive pill which should be Microgynon 30 and instead they have given me a different perscription of rigevidon. Is this normal? I m not happy about my perscription being changed without my doctor consulting me first. Am I ok to take the pill as normal? And will I get any side affects as it is a new medication?

Hi,

Rigevidon and microgynon are almost similar and you can interchangeably use both of the pills. Nothing much to worry and no contraceptive failure happen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
