Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was suffering with acid peptic disease(pyloric channel ulcers) last year December and after undergoing treatable they are completely healed. My doctor prescribed me a tablet named sompraz. But since three months I am severely suffering with loose motions with some fleshy kind of smell. I have again went to doctor and he asked me to undergo lonoscopy. I just don't whether is it required to undergo lonoscopy for this problem. and if not then what could be the reason for this problem? I have also undergone some blood test to check out the serum levels.
HI Well come to HCM Thank for asking a question Your concern being appreciated, fishy smell stool is the indication of giardiasis and it is not related with the medicine you have taken or taking, if I would be treating doctor of this case then I would try to treat it with Tinidazole with Ofloxacine twice in day for five days, along with this change the diet because it could be due to diet also, so try to avoid taking fired food, oily food fat contained diet, have more vegetable diet hope this information helps.
