Is It Safe To Take Morphine And Oxycodone For A Prolonged Period?
Hi I m Michael. I was initially put on a mainteance dose of suboxoone tablets 3x8/2. I did very well in all aspects of my life ranging from pain management, depression, employment, and overall functioning at work and recovery related issues. Residual pain is a very real issue as I was strucj by an auto at 45 mph while training for a triathlon. For a year and a half I Was on large doses of morphine and oxycodone (300mg combined). Suboxone was a miracle for me in that almost overnight I was able to discontinue the large amounts I was taking. I was pulled off the Suboxone by the Doctors at the VA in S. Oregon as they belived I was cured from opiate addiction, and I am considering other sources. I do have a longer term opiate issues aside from recent accident, is this a safe medication to be on for five plus years if need be.

As per your history is concerned these drugs are not for long time.Tell your treating doctor to go to the root of the pain and eradicate that one in a scientific method only.So in medical science symptomatic treatment has no role to play.So let me know for which disease you have been advised for this maintenance medication?
