Is It Safe To Travel In Plane While Suffering From Ascites?
my husband has ascities in his abdomen. My question is does flying affect this. He had a liver transplant about fifteen months ago. was drained 8 liters last week and the internist in the hospital said it was okay to fly to florida. I just want to know if it is safe to fly with ascities in general.

Ascitis itself has nothing to do with the air travel. You may safely proceed. Be compliant with the medication.
