Is It Safe To Use Sumag Ointment For Boil On Lower Leg?

Hi doctor I am manoj pharmacist , one of my patient lower leg boil with redness & swelling after 10 days of dressing pus is reduced but healing and swelling is as it is. Sugar level is normal , colour doppler is normal . My question is sumeg ointment is use or not

1. Boil is caused by infection of hair follicle or oil gland in the skin and since they are not a serious problem [as blood sugar and color doppler came normal] thus can be treated effectively at home:

. Apply hot compress to the boil which will increase circulation the area which will help in draining pus and ease pain.
. When the boil softens and fill with pus, don't try to drain the contents by yourself at home, since it may result in infetcion or spread of bacteria resulting in multiple boils.
. yes you may use Sumag ointment over the boil and cover with a gauze dressing and change the dressing frequently.
. make sure to wash your hands before and after dressing to prevent infection
. also prescribe an antibiotic course orally.
