Is It Safe To Use Duonase Spray During Pregnancy?

hi ,i am 31 weeks pregnant now, i have rcently moved to my hometown which is in a costal area. i'm suffering from severe allergy after moving here. i used to use duonase spary to get relief. is it safe to use during pregnancy. pls advice.thanks Archna

Thanks for writing in.

Duonase contains medication azelastine. It is classified as group C by the FDA for potential side effects. Azelastine nasal is only recommended for use during pregnancy when there are no alternatives and benefit outweighs risk. Please use it only if required and under supervision of a doctor. If you have used it on a single occasion then please do not worry. Repeat use is not recommended as self medication.
