Is It Safe To Use Duvadilan In Pregnancy And Are There Any Safer Alternatives?

Hi My doctor has prescribed duvadilan retard 40 mg, I am 16 weeks pregnant and have to travel for 2-3 hrs daily to reach office. I searched on internet and found many side effects for this drug. Just wanted to confirm is it safe to use this drug? Or any other safer alternatives are available in market? Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
I do understand your pain and discomfort.
As per your history is concerned doctor has prescribed you this medication and you are travelling daily to reach office ,it is a strange question. Whom we prescribe this medication she should be in bed rest.It is prescribed due to many technical causes during pregnancy. So may i know what is your clinical symptom for which doctor has prescribed this medication. Is it not leaking membrane? If yes take rest and go to exact pathology.
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks
