Is It To Be Concerned About Continuous Fever In Child?

my son about 11 months and 17 days old is having fever 101.7 since morning, we gave him paracetamol syrup(5ml) in the afternoon and after some time his temperature was normal and he played a lot. in the evening his temperature started to raise again....it s now 107.9 . what should we do ? should we give him parecetamol again?

Hi
I completely understand your concerns but don't worry. I think that 107.9 is a mistake. Kindly recheck, if same then immediately visit ER as its hyperthermia needing emergency treatment.

If the temperature is less than 102 degrees Fahrenheit, then you may continue acetaminophen or Paracetamol and repeat it after 6-8 hours if required. Usually they improve over a few days.
