Is It To Be Concerned About The Abnormal Bowel After Water Infection?

I've had a water infection for about a month now as three courses of anti-biotics failed to treat it, I've been drinking more fluid, as to try and flush it out of my system. but for the last week, every now and then i've noticed a green tinge on my poo. what is this?

Hello,

Green stools may be due to Infection or food contains more green leafy vegetables or green color.

Other possibilities are:
1. Antibiotic usage
2. Gallbladder disease
3. Liver problems
4. Altered flora of bowel
5. Irritable bowel syndrome et cetera

Treatment includes:
1. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks
2. Use tablet Sporulac thrice a day for five days
3. Tablet Normaxine twice a day for five days

If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
