Is Itchy, Swollen Clitoris With Small Lump Under Hood Concerning?

I am 50 years old and through menopause. I have been itchy in the clitoris area for several days. Now my clit/hood seems a bit swollen and i can feel a small lump under the hood. I have been applying a topical monistat cream for the itching. Should I worry about the pea sized lump?

Hi,

I think that you should do a blood sugar profile test done. Apply a anti-fungal ointment with steroids and take anti-fungal tablets itraconazole weekly for 4 weeks, if it reduces in size there is not much to worry about but if it doesn't reduce then a surgical procedure may be required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
